AME Systems a top workplace

ARARAT - AME Systems has been nominated for a prestigious national award that honours the organisations that have employed staff through their local job network member, in this case Best Community Development Ararat/Stawell. AME Systems has been nominated for the Champion Employer of the Year Award in the 2007 National Employment Services Awards for Excellence. AME Systems has employed 130 additional people over the last 12 months. Judging took place throughout late June and early July, with AME Systems competing against other entrants from all over Australia vying for the prestigious national award. This is just one of four award categories in the awards, with achiever of the year, employment consultant of the year and an innovation and service excellence team award also being granted. The champion employer, employment consultant and innovation and service excellence winners will have demonstrated passion and dedication in helping job seekers get back into the workplace, while the achiever of the year (a former job seeker) will have overcome hardship to have found work in the last year. ‘‘While the award recognises a special few, there are dozens of employment services that contribute to the high level of professionalism and service excellence that typifies this industry,’’ NESA CEO Sally Sinclair said. ‘‘The industry has changed substantially over the past few years, spurred by the introduction of a wide range of new processes and approaches for the provision of employment services to Australians. ‘‘These changes are raising the service levels expected for organisations, as well as individuals directly involved in the delivery of employment services. Job seekers, employers the government and educational organisations are among the many benefactors. The 2007 NESA gala awards presentation will be held on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast on July 24. If AME Systems is named as one of national finalists, then representatives will be flown to Queensland for the gala awards dinner.
